A Step-By-Step Guide To Hand Casting
Step 1
Mix the moulding powder with water in the provided bucket using the ratio in the manual. Stir until smooth – a few lumps are fine. Give the bucket a firm shake to remove any air bubbles before moving to the next step.
Step 2
Pour the mixture into the bucket and immerse your hand or both hands together for a couples cast. Hold completely still for 4 to 7 minutes until the mixture hardens. Once set, gently wiggle your fingers to loosen and carefully pull your hands out, leaving a perfect detailed impression behind.
Step 3
Mix the casting powder with water following the manual, removing any lumps and air bubbles. Pour the mixture into your mould and gently tap the sides to help it settle. Allow it to set completely this takes 2 to 3 hours.
Step 4
Invert the bucket and gently press the sides to release the mould. Carefully peel it away in small chunks to reveal your cast. Once fully dry, use the included sandpaper to smooth any rough edges to a clean finish.
